ABOUT MUSEUM FORWARD

FACILITATING KNOWLEDGE.
EXCHANGING EXPERIENCES.
CONNECTING  DIVERSITY.

MUSEUM FORWARD highlights the broader social and cultural roles of Indonesia’s historic sites and collections while identifying new ways to present cultural heritage through global visions, best practices, and international standards.

MUSEUM FORWARD was launched in 2024 with a three day international conference and workshop that brought together and inspired more than 400 museum and cultural heritage practitioners across Nusantara and beyond, to tackle the conformities within the Indonesian museum landscape.

This year's EUNIC initiative seeks to facilitate knowledge & experiences exchange through connecting diverse museums with collaborators and experts, as well as realize a co-creation through hands-on experiences & collaborative efforts between stakeholders in the creative sector. This is intended as a response to the feedback, insights and urgencies identified by the local museum participants in the last year’s forum. Following the first open call—focusing on Indonesian museums—now we are looking for the Indonesian museum experts and cultural heritage professionals.
