Speaker: Judith Bosnak (Museum SAKA)

The Dactyloscopy Archives at Musperin exemplify long-buried treasures that reveal critical insights into the social and labor histories of plantation communities and the stories of the people behind the records. These archives provide new perspectives for decolonizing archives and museums in Indonesia and around the world. They open the door to crafting new narratives rooted in local histories, emphasizing diverse viewpoints and acknowledging the importance of locality over previously dominant Western-centric perspectives. Museum Forward invites Dr. Judith Bosnak, director of Museum SAKA in Bali, to share her insights on how museums—both locally and globally—are responding to this evolving cultural landscape.
